Meet the 17-year-old who has 2 degrees, flies planes, and is deferring his master’s to work at NASA
BOSTON (AP) — Moshe Kai Cavalin has two college degrees, but he’s too young to vote. He flies airplanes, but he’s too young to drive a car alone.
Life is filled with contrasts for Cavalin, a 17-year-old from San Gabriel, California, who has dashed by major milestones as his age seems to lag behind. He graduated from community college at age 11. Four years later, he had a bachelor’s in math from the University of California, Los Angeles.
This year, he started online classes to get a master’s in cybersecurity through the Boston area’s Brandeis University.
He decided to postpone that pursuit for a couple of terms, though, while he helps NASA develop surveillance technology for airplanes and drones.
Between all that, he’s racked up an exhausting list of extracurricular feats. He just published his second book, drawing on his experience being bullied and stories he’s heard from others. He plans to have his airplane pilot’s license by the year’s end. At his family’s home near Los Angeles, he has a trove of trophies from martial arts tournaments.
Still, Cavalin insists that he’s more ordinary than people think. He credits his parents for years of focused instruction balanced by the freedom to pick his after-school activities. His eclectic interests stem from his cultural heritage, he said, with a mother from Taiwan and a father from Brazil.

Adele is picking up right where she left off—smashing sales records. The English singer’s new single, “Hello,” sold 1.1 million copies in the U.S. its first week, which sets a new record for the biggest one-week sales tally in digital history. The old record was held by Flo Rida’s “Right Round,” which sold 636K downloads in is first week in February 2009.
To find the last song that got off to such a fast start, you have to go back to the pre-digital era. Elton John’s “Candle In The Wind 1997” sold 3.4 million copies in its first week in September 1997. (Of course that was a very special case. The song, a tribute to Princess Diana, was released just two weeks after her shocking death. Proceeds went to her charities.)
Here are seven other records that “Hello” has just set.
1. “Hello” squashed the old record for the biggest one-week sales by a female artist in the U.S. That was held by Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which sold 623K copies in its first week in August 2012. As with “Hello,” which is the first single from Adele’s upcoming third album, 25, “We Are Never Ever…” was the first single from Swift’s fourth album, Red.

A woman trying to tempt her boyfriend with sexy selfies as she tried on her Catwoman outfit for Halloween has been rejected by her other half – as he was too busy playing video games.
The unnamed woman, believed to be from the UK, sent pictures that showed her wearing a clinging catsuit to her boyfriend over text.
But after he refused to help her ‘take off’ her skin-tight costume and chose Grand Theft Auto over her, she dumped him.
The anonymous woman later revealed to the site that her boyfriend had been getting on her nerves and that was the last straw and led to her breaking up with him.
Some of the site’s readers may feel suspicious that story emerged just as the veteran game announced a new version involving the Hulk, while wondering if the girlfriend’s model looks are too good to be true, but the exchange has clearly touched a nerve as it is sweeping the internet.
She told him it was his ‘last chance’ and she needed help ‘taking it off’ with another picture of the plunging neckline.
He sent back a picture of Grand Theft Auto V.
She sent the picture in to Dude Comedy website and told them she had since broken up with the guy.
She said: ‘He was already on my nerves and this was the final straw.’

Hacking group Anonymous threaten to reveal identities of 1,000 Ku Klux Klan members ahead of first anniversary of Ferguson protests

Hacking group Anonymous has threatened to reveal the identities of 1,000 members of the Ku Klux Klan to mark the first anniversary of the Ferguson protests.
Dubbed Operation KKK, the cyber activists say they will also shut down websites and other social media accounts affiliated to the white supremacist group next month.
The protests in Ferguson were sparked after unarmed black teenager Michael Brown was shot dead by white police officer Darren Wilson last August.
Violent protests erupted on November 24 last year, when it was decided that Wilson would not be indicted in connection with the shooting.
During the demonstrations KKK members warned protesters that ‘lethal force’ would be used against them.
We are not attacking you because of what you believe in as we fight for freedom of speech,
‘We are attacking you because of what you do to our brothers and sisters.
‘Due to your actions we will be rearranging Operation KKK. We’ve gained access to yet another one of your KKK Twitter account.
‘Using the info obtained, we will be revealing about 1000 of your klan member identities. The aim of our operation is nothing more than Cyber Warfare. Anything you upload will be taken down, anything you use to promote the KKK will be shut down.’

ONE MILLION more migrants could head for Europe over the winter because of the Syrian war, warns Turkey, as official says the EU risks ‘disintegration’ if it fails to tackle the crisis

One million more people could flee war-torn Syria for Europe in a dramatic escalation of the migrant crisis, it was claimed yesterday.
Turkey is expecting the worsening situation in the country to displace another two million people over the winter.
And capital Ankara claimed that half of them were likely to head across its borders into Europe as a result of Russian air strikes in the region.

German rapper dubbed the ‘Goebbels of ISIS’ who made sickening beheading videos and called for attacks on Britain is killed in a U.S. air strike in Syria

A German rapper dubbed ‘the Goebbels of ISIS‘ who publicly threatened President Barack Obama has been killed in a U.S. air strike in Syria.
Denis Cuspert, also known by his artist name Deso Dogg, used to rap in Berlin and was one of the most high-profile Western fighters for the Islamic State.
His role making videos for the terror group has been likened to that of Nazi propaganda chief Josef Goebbels.
He is also believed to have produced the sickening footage of Jihadi John beheading British and US prisoners with a knife.
U.S. Defense Department spokeswoman Elissa Smith confirmed the 39-year-old was killed in an air strike on October 16 near the Syrian city of Raqqa.
Cuspert joined ISIS in 2012 and went on to appear in numerous videos from the militant group, including one in November last year ‘in which he appears holding a severed head he claims belongs to a man executed for opposing ISIL’, the State Department previously said.

Google’s 10 most popular Halloween costume searches
When it comes to Halloween costumes in 2015, the typical vampire or clown costume just won’t do.
Superheroes, who dominate movies and TV, remain popular, but a villain is the most sought-out costume of all, according to Google Trends’ Frightgeist.
The top costume search is “Suicide Squad” character Harley Quinn, according to the site, which measures Google queries locally and nationally.
The character, played by Margot Robbie in the upcoming film, has been popular for decades at fan conventions (her first appearance was on “Batman: The Animated Series” in 1992, before breaking into comics).
Robbie’s memorable performance in the trailer for the movie seems to have made Harley — the on-and-off girlfriend of The Joker — surge to the top.
The Joker also ranks in the top 10 costumes, along with his foe Batman, Wonder Woman and the generic term “superhero.”
Costumes you can get away with
As much as people are anticipating “Suicide Squad,” the excitement around “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is off the charts. It’s no wonder that “Star Wars” is the No. 2 search, hot on Harley’s heels.
The minions from “Despicable Me” are big with kids, and the old standbys pirates and witches also made the top 10.

Several hurt after plane engine catches fire in Florida
Fifteen people were injured when a plane’s engine caught fire as it taxied for take-off from an airport in Florida.
The Dynamic Airways Boeing 767 was on the runway at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, preparing for departure to Venezuela.
The left engine, which had been leaking fuel, caught fire.
The passengers and crew were evacuated and the fire extinguished but one person has been left with severe burns.
“The crew followed the emergency procedures, shut down the engine and evacuated the aircraft in order to assure safety to all on board,” Dynamic Airways said in a statement.
Those hurt are being treated at Florida Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale.
One person has been “seriously burnt”, according to Mike Jachles of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
The National Transportation Safety Board is sending agents to Fort Lauderdale to investigate the fire.
Dynamic flies between Fort Lauderdale, New York, Venezuela and Guyana.
China one-child policy: Trauma and sympathy shared online
The abolition of China’s controversial one-child policy has triggered an intense emotional discussion online, with netizens expressing a mixture of regret, bitterness and sympathy.
Many have been using the hashtag #Quanmianertai# – shorthand for “Freeing up all aspects to have a second child” – which has become a top trending topic on Thursday night and Friday on the Weibo microblogging network.
Sharing trauma
People have been sharing their own stories about how strictly the one-child policy had been enforced over the decades it has been in place.
“I can still remember when I was little, the family planning department broke down the door in my family home to grab my mum and sterilise her. I still carry this trauma to this day. What kind of methods would they use to make us have a second child?” wrote user MuziD-AiLee.
Her post attracted scores of sympathetic responses recounting similar experiences.
“My first child turned out to be twin girls. Two and a half years ago, I was visited daily in my home by planning officials telling me to go for sterilisation. If I didn’t get sterilised I would not get the hukou,” said Shuangbaotaixiaoruhexiaoyi.
“So I was forced to be sterilised – I was only 23 at that time. My heart hurt so much then – I’m so young and I can’t have any more children. I hate the family planning unit.”
The hukou is China’s identity registration system – officials often deny this to illegal children, making it difficult for them to travel around the country and gain access to state education and healthcare.
Shaker Aamer: Last UK Guantanamo Bay detainee released
The last British resident to be held in Guantanamo Bay has been released, having been detained there for 13 years, the foreign secretary has said.
Philip Hammond said Shaker Aamer had left the US military base and will return to the UK “later today”.
The Saudi national, 48, was held in the military prison in Cuba since 2002 but has never been charged or put on trial.
Mr Aamer, who has four children, has permission to live indefinitely in the UK because his wife is British.
He was detained in Afghanistan in 2001. US authorities alleged he had led a unit of Taliban fighters and had met former al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden.
But Mr Aamer maintains he was in Afghanistan with his family doing charity work.
Since 2007 Mr Aamer, who claims he was tortured, has been cleared for release twice, by US presidents George W Bush and Barack Obama.
‘Medical care’
Andy Worthington, co-director of the We Stand With Shaker campaign, said he was “delighted” Mr Aamer’s “long and unacceptable ordeal has come to an end”.
“We hope he won’t be detained by the British authorities on his return and gets the psychological and medical care that he needs to be able to resume his life with his family in London,” he said.

When the business jet carrying Shaker Aamer lands in London at around 13:00 GMT today, he is likely to be met by British officials and detectives.
But if his case is handled like other returning detainees, he will soon be free to go on his way.
His lawyers say that he will medical and mental assessments. He may, like others who have been held at Guantanamo, be suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.
It’s unlikely we will ever find out if MI5 does decide to monitor Mr Aamer – by definition its work is secret.
On a human level, Shaker Aamer’s return is the end of the UK’s involvement in Guantanamo. But it’s not the end of the story.

During a recent interview, Howe opens up about how different the mansion is these days, with parties being more board games-style than loud music and debauchery … claiming, “Hef is so frail he goes everywhere with a group of nurses.”
She continues, claiming that Hugh would rather spend his time playing chess with friends and watching old movies more than anything else.
Honestly speaking, and not knowing if this is true at all, put yourself in Hef’s position — who would you rather spend time with, like-minded friends who’d enjoy their time with you doing the things you both enjoy, or hanging out with your lowliest of “employees,” with whom you share absolutely nothing? It wouldn’t be a wonder, to be sure.
This man’s gonna be 90 years old — what else would you expect from a man who’s likely lived out a vast majority of his life?

In a Relationship: Is It OK to Be Attracted to Other People?
Monogamy can be a challenge, but many of us sign up for it anyway to satisfy a fundamental need to love and be loved. Far from being a blind adherence to social norms, people around the world are still committing to each other for life despite increasingly negative opinions of monogamy.
More and more we are hearing scientific reports claiming that cheating may be in our DNA because that behavior has been studied in our closest relative. More and more, monogamy is scrutinized and judged as something that is holding us back from real meaning. But people forget what a great challenge marriage and lifelong partnerships actually can be.
In the Roman Catholic Church, marriage is considered the most sacred calling; marriage has such high status because there is so much sacrifice that goes into making a marriage and family work.
One of the greatest sacrifices in making monogamy work is forgoing the passing pleasure of other lovers. No matter how attracted we are to the one we love the most, as long as we have blood in our veins we will feel attraction and affection for other people. How are you supposed to feel if you are attracted to a person outside of your committed relationship, and what does it mean for your relationship?
Attraction matters
If you find yourself uniquely attracted to another person outside of your relationship, you can take a deep sigh of relief. It’s 100% normal. If you were to suddenly not be attracted to any person other than your spouse, there would be something wrong with you. But there can be a point at which attraction can overstep the boundaries of your relationship, and that is totally dependent on how you respond to the attraction.
Ignoring your feelings of attraction to other people is denying a fundamental aspect of your manhood: sexual desire. Your sexual desire is present so that you may create and extend the range of human experience through family and children. If you pretend that desire doesn’t exist, you are setting yourself up for trouble.
When you were single, the best way you could act on attraction would be to explore different people, to get to know them, and choose one you could partner with for life. But once you’ve already made the effort and commitment to grow with one person, what do you do with attraction to others?
I don’t think your spouse expects you to stop being attracted to others, and if that is the case, that would signal a major problem of distrust. One thing your partner would like is for you to remember how lucky you are to build a life together. You can use attraction to others as a reminder of the greatest love you have. This takes discipline, but if you can master your response to attraction then it will be something that actually improves the relationship with the one you love most.
One common complaint from women is that they feel lusted after and objectified by male culture. That isn’t too much of a surprise with how heavily conditioned men can be by pornography, but it can be changed with our thoughts. Women want and need to feel accepted and appreciated for who they really are — not just for how they look. This goes for extremely appealing women and plain-looking women alike. In reality, there is nothing plain about anyone because all people have an infinite universe inside of them waiting to be appreciated and explored.

More people might start reading Playboy for its articles after The New York Times reported the magazine will start phasing nude women out of its pages by March 2016.
In the early days of Playboy, the magazine was must-buy material for anyone seeking titillation and female nudity. But now, the internet makes pornography and explicit images readily available to anyone with a connection. Playboy has been looking comparably tame.
Rather than moving in a more explicit direction, though, Playboy is trying to make its product less graphic and therefore safer to consume anywhere. Its website stopped publishing nude photos in August 2014, and its print edition is now following suit. Chief executive Scott Flanders hopes the redesign will help the company reach more millennials both online and in print.
It’s another change for a company that has been evolving since it was founded with a $1,000 loan from Hugh Hefner’s mother in 1953. By the ’60s, what had started as a men’s magazine had transformed into a burgeoning lifestyle brand with nightclubs, and its own homegrown celebrities. And later, for Hefner, it also included a rotating roster of gorgeous girlfriends.
The women celebrated by Playboy — from the models to Hef’s girlfriends — have also changed drastically throughout the decades as body types, hairstyles, and fashions have gone in and out of style. Over the years, the Playboy woman has become ever thinner and blonder, and now with the magazine’s mission in flux, it remains to be seen how this aesthetic will morph as Playboy looks toward the future.

The Uber driver made famous by the NYT profile of Rihanna lives a fascinating life
Twitter was buzzing yesterday when the New York Times Style Magazine released the online version of its Rihanna cover interview.
Written by filmmaker and artist Miranda July, the story was bookended by July’s interactions with her Uber driver, Oumarou Idrissa, who coincidentally had also previously met Rihanna while working.
It turns out his meeting Rihanna was far from the only brush with fame he’s had. Idrissa says he has worked on a Beyoncé music video, driven the Kardashians around town, and met countless other celebrities, all while also coaching youth soccer and sending money back to his 21 siblings in Niger.
As noted in July’s piece, Idrissa immigrated to the United States from Niger about 10 years ago. He first lived in New York City in a studio apartment with 11 other people while being paid a little more than $3 an hour to shovel snow — the first snow he’d ever seen in his life.
“You have to do what you gotta do to survive,” he told us.
But he couldn’t stand the cold, so he moved to Los Angeles.
He started playing soccer in the park with strangers and they were impressed with his skills, so they introduced him to some college coaches. A coach at Long Beach City College was interested in having him join the team. Idrissa got a job coaching and refereeing kids..jpg)

He was able to start playing soccer for the college while also supporting his family at home — he has 21 siblings in Niger. Things were looking up, but then he faced some immigration issues when his student visa was denied because he’d overstayed the first one, he said.
“I was kind of like hiding every day,” he said of the time that followed. “I’m worried I’m going to get deported. I can’t sleep at night. I’m thinking, They’re coming, they’re coming, they’re coming.”
But those worries dissippated when he got married and obtained a green card. The marriage didn’t last, he told Tech Insider — but now Idrissa is a U.S. citizen.
Things got even more interesting when he found a job opportunity on Craigslist to become an Uber driver. Now he drives UberX and UberBlack — UberBlack is the highest ranking and is often used by the rich and famous — and meets plenty of celebrities while driving his car. He also tells us he attends parties with some of them, which is where he met Rihanna and the Kardashians, who he says are “very friendly.”
“When I drive, sometimes my client wants me to come in with them so I can wait for them,” he said. “So then I go in and some people think I’m rich. I get them to think I’m a basketball player. It’s funny sometimes.”
He does have one horror story about his time as an Uber driver.
Once, a famous former basketball player tried to stiff him for a $534 ride after asking Idrissa to drive him around for seven hours one night. He told Idrissa he’d pay him cash, then said he didn’t have any.
He offered to pay Idrissa the next morning on the way to the airport. But then, Idrissa went to pick him up and he never showed..
“I text him, I call him, he don’t answer,” Idrissa said. “He said, ‘Brother, I’m sorry, I’m gonna call you in 45 minutes.’ He never called.”
But Idrissa’s friend had a plan. He texted the athlete and told him he’d report the incident to TMZ if he got stiffed. It took two months, but the NBA player eventually sent Idrissa the money he owed him, he said — and then the check was bad. Eventually, though, he got the money.
“He’s like a multimillionaire basketball player,” Idrissa lamented. “But sometimes you meet good people.”
Eastcote bar stabbing murder suspect Shane O’Brien hunted
Detectives investigating the murder of a man in front of customers at a bar in London have named a suspect.
The public have been warned not to approach Shane O’Brien, who is wanted following the killing of Josh Hanson.
Mr Hanson, 21, of Kingsbury, north-west London, was killed at the RE bar in Eastcote, Hillingdon, early on Sunday.
Scotland Yard said up to 40 people were in the bar when he was killed and directly appealed to Mr O’Brien, 27, of Ladbroke Grove, to contact them.
Mr Hanson, a roads planner, was confirmed dead at the scene, after being stabbed in the neck at about 01:10 BST
He described Mr Hanson as “a hard-working young lad, up at 5am for his job as a roads planner and often working seven days a week”.
He said: “He had everything to live for and when he went out that Saturday night, no-one could have imagined what would happen to him. His family is in pieces.
“I would appeal directly to Shane to contact us, or ask that anyone who has seen him or who knows where he is to contact us as well.”
The day after Mr Hanson died, his mother Tracey said those who knew him had “only good things to say”.
“And this is being reflected in the offers of condolence to myself, his friends and family,” she said.
“Please, if you know anything, come forward and tell police who committed this horrific murder.”

Although homecoming is not a tradition that we have over here in the U.K. I hear it is a pretty huge occasion for you guys in the States. What I do know is that the majority of homecomings are spent having a laugh, reminiscing about your school days, and tend to involve a parade through the streets. Not a trip to the hospital like this guy.
One unlucky high school grad, Seth, shared his story with DudeComdey:
“So it’s homecoming night and me and my girlfriend made reservations for all of us at Applebee’s. I know it’s not really the most classy of places but it worked living in a small city in Wisconsin. Anyways, I go sit down, order my food and my two buddies come up and tell me that they got an Audi lent to them by their friend who’s a doctor. They asked me if I wanted to go on a two minute ride in the Audi with them, said it would be fun. I told them yes and I could tell my girlfriend was mad at me for wanting to leave for a couple of minutes homecoming night, but I left anyways.
“We were going down this dead end road going 80 and we swerve off into a ditch, and me being me I wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and I smashed my face into the seat in front of me, bit my lip in half and ripped all the skin off my gums. I get out of the car covered in blood and this dude comes over and let’s me wipe myself off. I was able to stick my tongue through this hole in my lip.
“So two minutes after I left I called my girlfriend and had her give me a ride to the hospital, she was not happy.
“But it’s gonna be a pretty sweet scar. Never made it to homecoming though.”
Dell’s $67 billion EMC deal will transform it into an enterprise giant
Dell has announced that it plants to buy data storage company EMC for $67 billion. The deal will be the largest ever in the history of the tech industry reports The Financial Times, with EMC agreeing to a sale price worth roughly $33.15 a share. “We’re continuing to evolve the company into the most relevant areas where IT is moving,” Dell’s founder and chief executive Michael Dell told The New York Times. “This deal just accelerates that.”
The nature of the planned takeover is complicated, with the agreement reportedly including a “go-shop” provision that allows EMC to consider bids from rival firms. This is apparently intended to reassure EMC’s investors that they are getting the best value possible out of the sale. The company is reportedly under pressure from an activist investor, hedge fund Elliott Management, with the Times noting that a potential deal between EMC and Hewlett-Packard already fell apart prior to this. As well as cash, Dell’s acquisition will include a special tracking stock that will be issued to investors, accounting for EMC’s 81 percent stake in popular cloud software company VMWare (which will remain an independent business).
The deal, which is still pending shareholder approval, will make Dell one of the largest providers of enterprise computing products, with EMC’s digital storage business adding to the company’s own server and IT services. The company (which is still also the world’s third biggest PC manufacturer) says it will be able to offer “end-to-end” solutions to clients. However, the ambitious takeover bucks a trend in the industry, with other firms such as Hewlett-Packard and eBay choosing to break up their businesses — rather than make them bigger — to better deal with a changing market. Two years ago, Dell went private in order to reorganize itself without pressure from public investors. This deal could give EMC some similar breathing space.

A Saudi woman may face going to jail after she caught her husband cheating with the family maid and posted it on social media.
The woman used a hidden camera to catch her husband in the act, but despite his proven infidelity, she may be the one who ends up being punished.
The video, which she uploaded to YouTube, shows the man forcing himself on one of the family’s members of staff, while the maid appears to attempt to resist his advances.

However, the success of the shaming video may backfire on the wife, a prominent Saudi lawyer has warned.
‘She faces up to one year in prison or a fine of SR500,000 (£87,214)for defaming her husband in line with the law on information technology crimes,’ lawyer Majid Qaroob told a local newspaper.
‘This law includes stiff punishment for anyone using mobilephones with camera or other equipment to photograph others and defame them,’ he said.

JIM CARREY GIRLFRIEND COMMITS SUICIDE
Jim Carrey‘s on-again/off-again 28-year-old girlfriend has committed suicide … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement tells TMZ, LAPD responded to a call in the L.A. area Monday night. We’re told they went to a residence and found the body of Cathriona White.
Our sources say White left a suicide note addressed to Carrey which references their break up on Sept. 24. Cathriona tweeted on the 24th … “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.”
Law enforcement tells us they believe she died from an overdose of drugs — pills were next to her body. We’re told 2 friends found Cathriona last night when they went to check on her.
53-year-old Carrey and White met in 2012, dated a few months and then split. They rekindled their relationship in May.

When I asked 17-year-old Lydia Cleveland if she had any hobbies, she laughed, and said, “Netflix? Or, wait, no — burning the patriarchy!” She’s being modest — the guitar-playing teen interns at a hospital, and aspires to someday be a nurse. She works part-time at a local restaurant, in Midlothian, Virginia, as a hostess. Oh, and she wasn’t kidding about dismantling the patriarchy. National media has covered the teen activist’s every move after she took a stand against administrators at James River High School in protest of their dress code, which she deems sexist and unfair. From an interview with local news all the way to Cosmopolitan, Seventeen Magazine, and the American Civil Liberties Union (where Lydia will be penning an upcoming blog post), she’s prepared to fight for her constitutional rights — including the right to never wear the “shame sweatsuit” currently being used to punish dress code violators at JRHS.

Sources close to the couple tell TMZ, doctors have back timed the date of conception and they’ve been told their son will be born on Xmas day.
Obviously, the due date is always a little up in the air, but Xmas is the likely date, and here’s why. We’re told Kim has a condition where the placenta grows too deeply into the uterus, which could be dangerous.
We’re told as of now, doctors are planning on a natural birth on Xmas day, but a c-section might be necessary that day for safety reasons, if she doesn’t give birth beforehand.

Prison worker gets seven-year term for aiding escape
A former jail worker will be behind bars for up to seven years after helping two convicted killers escape from a New York prison.
Joyce Mitchell, 52, provided inmates Richard Matt and David Sweat with tools that allowed them to break through the wall of their cell to freedom.
Mitchell sobbed in court on Monday, saying she made a “horrible mistake”.
Matt and Sweat escaped on 6 June, sparking a huge three-week manhunt across New York and Vermont.
Hundreds of police officers scoured the remote wooded areas near the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York.
“A large portion of the local population were terrorised,” Judge Kevin Ryan said on Monday. “Many were forced to flee their homes.”
The inmates stayed together for week,s sleeping outside and hiding in vacation homes, but they eventually separated.
Both men had been serving life sentences at the maximum-security prison when they escaped.
Matt, who had escaped from prison before, was convicted of dismembering his former employer while Sweat had been found guilty of killing a sheriff’s deputy.

Apple sells 13 million iPhones in opening weekend record
Apple’s iPhone 6S and 6S Plus were released last week and have already clocked up record sales figures. The company says that it sold more than 13 million new devices over the weekend, a record for the iPhone. “Sales for iPhone iPhone 6S Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook in a press statement. “Customers’ feedback is incredible and they are loving 3D Touch and Live Photos, and we can’t wait to bring iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus to customers in even more countries on October 9th.”
These bumper results are thanks in no small part to the inclusion of China in its opening weekend sales. The country overtook Europe to become Apple’s second biggest market earlier this year, with sales growing three times faster than in the Americas. By comparison, last year Apple sold 10 million units of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in its opening weekend (when the Chinese launch of the phones was delayed), and 9 million units of the iPhone 5S and 5C the year before that.

A mother has complained after her 14-year-old son’s school confiscated the e-cigarette he was using to quit smoking.
Mason Dunn, who has a 10-a-day habit, was caught vaping at Kearsley Academy in Greater Manchester where there is a strict no-smoking policy.
But his mother Sue Dunn, a van driver from Bolton, says he was using the device in an attempt to kick the habit, which began after his father died when he was 12.
Kearsley Academy has 487 students – smaller than average but the proportion of disadvantaged students supported by the pupil premium much larger than the national average.
Miss Dunn, who is a single mother, said: ‘I am not happy about the fact that he smokes in the first place, but we have tried everything to help him stop.
‘We have tried patches and have been to the doctor, but nothing worked, so my eldest son bought him an e-cigarette and it has helped him stop smoking cigarettes. He has really made an effort.
‘I went into school and explained the situation but was told it is against the school policy.
‘He came home from school in a terrible state because he needed nicotine. We have tried to wean him off the e-cigarettes as well, but it is helping.

‘If it helps to prevent people from developing cancer at a later stage, I think it should be allowed.’
After swapping to the electronic device at the start of the summer, the teenager managed to avoid smoking any cigarettes but since going back to school this month he has taken it up again.
Mason said: ‘It feels like the school don’t want me to stop smoking.
‘It is really irritating because they shout at me when I have got a cigarette and tell me to stop and then when I try to quit, they tell me to stop doing that as well.
‘It is really hard and I don’t know what to do next.’
Suzanne Pountain, principal of the school where 58 per cent of students achieve A* – C grade at GCSE, said: ‘Kearsley Academy is a no smoking site. We have a duty of care to our students to reinforce this and discourage them from doing so.
‘As a healthy school we encourage students to lead healthy lifestyles and to make healthy choices.
‘We offer students access to the school nurse and if necessary pathways such as the smoke cessation programme, if this is needed.
‘We will continue to work with and support Mason within the guidelines of our policy.
‘For the safeguarding of all our students, smoking, including the use of any nicotine inhalation devices are not allowed.’
The e-cigarette has since been returned to Mason’s mother, as per the school’s policy on smoking.
Battery powered e-cigarettes are an alternative way of consuming nicotine, without inhaling harmful chemicals such as tar and carbon monoxide.
The e-cigarette converts liquid nicotine into a mist which the smoker inhales.
A recent report carried out on behalf of Public Health England concluded that they are 95 per cent less harmful than tobacco, and that they could be prescribed on the NHS in future to help smokers quit.
However concerns have been raised about the possible inconsistencies of quality in e-cigarettes, and whether they are completely safe.
There are currently no restrictions on those under the age of 18 buying e-cigarettes but a new policy will be introduced on October 1 making it illegal for retailers to sell them to them.
The new law however does not make it illegal for under-18s to use e-cigarettes in public but it is an offence for an adult to purchase one on behalf of a child.
Those that do may be issued with a fine of £90, reduced to £60 if it is paid within 15 days.

Azealia Banks is back in the headlines, this time after a run-in with a passenger and flight attendant on a Delta flight from New York to L.A. on Monday night. TMZ obtained video of the incident, in which she uses a homophobic slur on a flight attendant.
According to eyewitness reports, the fight began when a French couple who was removing its baggage from an overhead bin blocked Banks from exiting the plane.
When the husband put out his hand to keep her from squeezing past, Banks allegedly spit in his face, punched him, and clawed at his shirt. Then a flight attendant took hold of her bag and asked her to calm down. The video of the incident begins here. It shows Banks struggling with the attendant over her luggage, before calling him a “fucking faggot.”

The Money Making Mitch himself, Sean “Diddy” Combs, dethrones Dr. Dre for No. 1 with $60 million, largely through his Ciroc vodka and other brands. The Bad Boy mogul, who is readying his next album No Way Out II, also has his TV network Revolt, clothing line Sean John, and alkaline water brand Aquahydrate, which help account for his fortune.
For the second year in a row, Jay Z comes in a close second with $56 million, which he earned through Roc Nation and Armand de Brignac champagne.
Drake pulled up in third place (up from No. 4 last year) with $39.5 million, from his busy touring schedule along with Sprite and Nike endorsements.

The surprise album Drake just released was never supposed to happen
On Sunday, Drake released a joint mixtape with rapper Future called “What a Time To Be Alive.”
The collaboration was officially announced just one day before the tape dropped.
The project came as a surprise to most people because Drake’s highly anticipated solo album, “Views From The 6,” is due out later this year, and Future just released an album in July.
Drake also released a mixtape in February called “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.”
On Apple’s Beats 1 radio, the station that premiered the album on Sunday, Drake told listeners how it came together, basically saying the mixtape was an accident.
“I went to Atlanta for six days a couple weeks ago with the hopes of doing some songs with Future, and when you get around Future, it’s like a vortex,” Drake said. “That guy can outwork anybody right now.”
He added, “It’s tough to see someone do four, five songs in one night and not try to match it.”
The mixtape has 11 tracks, an impressive number of songs to put together in just a few days.
Drake also mentioned how he chose the title for his new, spontaneous album. When he realized his trip to Atlanta would produce a collaborative effort with Future, Drake told writer and friend Ernest Baker about the project. Baker replied, “What a time to be alive,” and that’s how Drake named it.

Last week, a GIF of how the Miss America winners’ body types have evolved from 1921 to now went viral.
But the team that put it together — educational website PsychGuides.com— also made a chart that shows how disconnected the Miss America competition is with the real America.
PsychGuides.com found that the only decades when the average U.S. woman and the Miss America winners fell in the same range were in the 1940s and ‘50s. The graph shows that over the years, Miss America has gotten thinner while the average American woman in her 20s has only gotten heavier.
“Miss America represents the highest ideals. She is a real combination of beauty, grace, and intelligence, artistic and refined,” the official Miss America website states. “She is a type which the American girl might well emulate.”
But this strong focus on beauty and thinness can be damaging to women who don’t fit the ideal, according to PsychGuides.com, and even lead to eating disorders as young girls strive to become society’s “perfect woman.”
The team added that these images of women’s bodies “can perpetuate an unrealistic expectation for the average female’s body.”
It’s not the first criticism of the pageant, which was protested in the ‘60s and draws numerous op-eds today questioning why the $50,000 scholarship competition still emphasizes a bikini-focused swimsuit segment where only the contestants’ bodies are judged.
And the evolving standards for contestants’ body types as well as the PsychGuides.comgraph also tell the story of how being thin has become the ideal in America while at the same time fewer and fewer women are able to meet that criteria.
Studies have found that wealth and success are associated with being thin. Not only doskinny women get paid more, but conventionally attractive people are also hired sooner and get promotions more quickly. And to be thought of as conventionally attractive as a woman, it’s paramount that you’re thin.

Facebook has over 1.49 billion monthly active users, with people in the US spending astaggering 27 hours on the social networking site every month.
The company thinks that that kind of sky-high usage and engagement gives it certain responsibilities.
“Because people interact with Facebook so often, we’re spending a lot of time thinking about how we can play a role in helping increase security literacy overall across the internet,” Facebook security product manager Melissa Luu-Van tells Business Insider.
The company recently released a new “Security Check-up” featurefor users and continues to try to find ways to get people thinking about security, Luu-Van says. In some emerging markets in particular, Facebook could be people’s first on-ramp to the internet, through its Internet.org efforts.
“We want to help people develop that muscle memory and start thinking about security in a different way,” she says. “Good security practices are important for all your accounts and services.”
Luu-Van — who says that Facebook is trying to spread the gospel that good security is proactive versus reactive —outlined five things principals that internet users should be thinking about whenever they sign up for a new internet service:
1. Always use good password practices
On the one hand, duh.
On the other, picking a strong, unique password sounds obvious, but people are notoriously pretty bad at it.
Although memorizing different passwords for all your account feels like a big hassle, having the same one for multiple accounts is needlessly dangerous.
Luu-Van says she recommends thinking of fairly long passwords that wouldn’t be obvious to anyone but you, or using a password manger (here are a few options). So, no “password” as your password please.
2. Login approvals — also called two-factor authentication — is a must
“You should always add this extra layer of protection to your account,” Luu-Van says.
Two-step verification is a way for websites to confirm that you are who you say you are when you try to log in, usually through a code that gets texted to you.

3. Know what sort of “permissions” you’re giving apps
You’re probably familiar with that box that shows up whenever you download a new app, asking you to give it access to parts of your phone or information on the account your using to sign in with (for example, if you login with your Facebook account). You should actually pay attention to it.
You should routinely check what you’re giving different apps access to, deleting permissions for ones that you don’t use anymore and making sure that your comfortable with how your data is being taken, by whom.
“We’re hoping that people will become more accustomed with reviewing the information they share with apps,” Luu-Van says.
4. Set up “trusted contacts” in case you do get locked out of your account
Instead of writing your password down somewhere so you don’t forget it (since any physical or digital documentation could fall into the wrong hands!), you should set up a trusted contact who can help you if you’re in a bind. Many services now allow you to set a back-up email or phone number to send special codes to that you can use if you’re locked out. That contact doesn’t actually get your password: Just a code to help you reset yours.
“Forgetting your password happens to the best of us, from time-to-time,” Luu-Van says. “The bigger picture here is being really proactive about making sure that you can get back into your account in case something happens.”
5. Make sure you have a legacy contact
This is the most morbid of Luu-Van’s tips, but no less important than the other ones: You should make sure that there is someone ready to take care of your digital accounts when you die.
“This stuff is super important to consider, even if it’s not something you want to be thinking about day-to-day,” Luu-Van says. “Do you want someone to be able to access these things and manage them on your behalf? You need to set up a way for someone to take care of your affairs if something happens to you.”
Apple Releases watchOS 2
Apple just released the final version of watchOS 2. The updated operating system is now available to download for everyone. It is available as an over-the-air update. You may not see the update right away as it takes a few minutes to hit all the servers. Apple may also be using a queue system to ensure speedy downloads.
As a reminder, Apple initially planned to release watchOS 2 on September 16. But the company had to delay the release at the last minute due to an unexpected bug.
“We have discovered a bug in development of watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected,” an Apple spokesperson told TechCrunch at the time. “We will not release watchOS 2 today but will shortly.” But now everything is fixed.
The updated operating system adds a handful of features just five months after Apple launched the Apple Watch. In particular, app developers can now build native apps and take advantage of all the sensors with watchOS 2. Other features include transit directions, expanded Siri support, a few new watch faces, third-party complications, a night stand mode, the ability to go forward in time to check the weather, appointments and more. Here’s how you can update to watchOS 2. Open the Watch app on your iPhone, go to ‘General’ then ‘Software Update.’ Apple should then prompt you to update.
There’s no reason why you shouldn’t update to watchOS 2. In many ways, it feels like the Apple Watch was in beta, and watchOS 2 is the final version of Apple’s vision. Things load faster, developers are going to take advantage of the new features and everything is more reliable.

Four men have been arrested after allegedly trying to kidnap a 13-year-old girl with their white van.
The men, aged from 20 to 36, were taken into custody after police stopped their van on a busy road near Ripon, North Yorkshire, on Thursday afternoon.
Officers had been hunting for the vehicle after reports were made of two men trying to lure the teenage girl into their van on a residential street.
Arrests: Police are pictured after they stopped the white van which the suspects were driving down the A61 near Ripon, North Yorkshire. They are suspected of trying to kidnap a 13-year-old girl
After around an hour of searching, officers in pursuit used a boxing manoeuvre to stop the van as it drove down the A61.
The four men were arrested on suspicion of attempted kidnap and conspiracy to kidnap. They are aged 36, 26, 22 and 20, and have not been named.
The men were released on bail on Saturday afternoon.

Urban-Exploring Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch
On the 18th of November, 2003, Michael Jackson’s 3,000-acre primary residence, Neverland Ranch, was searched by 70 police officers from the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department after accusations that Jackson had molested some children (The People of the State of California v. Michael Joseph Jackson). Following this, Jackson abandoned his estate, saying it had been “violated”, and three years later the property went into foreclosure. While the Ranch floated in real estate limbo, a group of photographers snuck onto the grounds and explored the abandoned kingdom, returning several times between December 2007 and March 2008. I spoke to the photographers to see what they saw. (Because tresspassing is illegal safety and I was feeling nostalgic for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, they will be referred to as Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello. A fourth member contributed photography and was not interviewed.)
VICE: What inspired you guys to explore Neverland Ranch?
Leonardo: It was kind of a spur-of-the-moment thing. I was aware that the park had been abandoned for quite a while, and I knew that Jackson was in Dubai at the time and that he wasn’t able to pay his electric bills. So, my understanding was that it would be a short-lived opportunity. I usually drive along the 101 freeway, and I decided, I have a few extra hours, I’m just going to go check it out. It just so happened that the day I was out there, it was pretty windy. It was a good cover because there were guards on-site, and the wind sort of blocked out my noise and I was able to sneak in without being heard. I had no expectation to make it in, but I just wanted to see.
What was the weirdest shit you saw?
[Raphael laughs]
Leonardo: Raphael is laughing because everything we saw was pretty weird. To be honest, I wasn’t a big fan of Michael Jackson, but I just knew that he was an important American historical figure. At the time, most people probably didn’t realise that he was part of history, and I knew that there was the potential for everything that was associated with him to be quickly lost. Without our documentation, I think it would’ve been a huge loss. So, I thought it was important to do that as quickly as we could, before it was gone.
Raphael: Sorry, what’s the weirdest thing we saw? Are we talking about going into his house? Is that part of the story?
Please.
Raphael: We haven’t really told anyone about it… Okay, the strangest thing to me was the little boy in pyjamas sitting on the moon logo, everywhere. Like, it amazes me how much it resembles the DreamWorks logo. That thing was painted on the ground, like, 60 feet wide. It was on the signs, on the bumper cars, it was on the coach station where they parked the coach, one on the ground.
Donatello: That’s like, his creepy logo, right?
Raphael: It’s got a little boy sitting on it in those footie pyjama things. Isn’t the back open, or is that only on some of the paintings?[Laughs]
Oh, my God.
Donatello: The other thing was that he collected memorabilia that had him on it, he had Pepsi bottles and books and other promotional material in boxes. He also had stacks and stacks of fan mail, and one of the ones that really grabbed me was some fan had drawn the prosecuting attorney of his molestation case with devil’s horns. That was just laying on a tabletop – maybe a Pac-Man table?
Raphael: You were reading his fan mail?
Donatello: We were flipping through some of it.
How did you guys get into his house?
Raphael: We probably don’t want to talk about details about how we entered.
Was it difficult?
Leonardo: We didn’t have to break any laws, because it was open. It was all open. The house was open.
Okay. Wow.
Raphael: One thing that really sticks out in my memory was drinking his grape soda from that walk-in kitchen storage area and then very carefully wiping the fingerprints off the bottle and hiding it in the bushes.
Wait, you drank his juice?
Raphael: I was thirsty and he had all of this grape soda, and I thought I’d just drink something from his house.
Was it actual grape soda?
Raphael: Yeah! It was actual grape soda! In the kitchen there was this “Children of the World” menu. Everything in there was geared toward children. I’m not sure he had any, but…
He did.
Raphael: Having that menu there, on a permanently printed chalkboard it had peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches and macaroni and cheese or something, that sticks out in my mind. The general strange hodgepodge of shit that he had bought that didn’t have any relation to his house. His entire house was filled with these really expensive looking one-off random, semi-artistic things.
Semi-artistic?
Raphael: These weird mirrors on this four-foot by four-foot platform. And that would be next to some Roman statue-looking thing. Next to that would be an eight-foot-tall oil painting of Michael Jackson himself. There were all of these paintings inside the house.
Donatello: There’s one where he’s leading a procession of children.
What was the vibe in the house?
Donatello: I was really on-edge and uncomfortable, mostly because I was worried that someone might find us in there and I think it’s just such a breach of privacy. It was so compelling to do it; I couldn’t not go in because the opportunity was in there. But at the same time, it just felt like I shouldn’t be doing this. It was this constant friction between fascination and, “I’ve got to get the fuck out of here, I shouldn’t be in here.”
Leonardo: That’s true. We all felt that way. We [as urban explorers] don’t normally ever do that – go in peoples’ houses.
Raphael: It’s all usually industrial, or old schools, or things that aren’t people’s personal residences. At one point, I got so fed up with the weirdness that I went outside and I tried to loosen them up by banging on the door, and I had a flashlight in my hand, and made it look like I was busting them. Donatello did not respond nicely to that. We fuck around with each other quite a bit, but they were. Donatello was so furious that I did that.

Can rice actually save your wet phone?
Recently, while spending a weekend in Upstate New York, I jumped into a lake with my shorts on. Unbeknownst to me, my battered iPhone 5S sat snugly in my pocket. Sometime during my swim, the phone slipped out and disappeared. I had no idea where it had gone until 26 hours later, when a swimmer noticed the phone’s reflective Apple logo winking at him from the lake’s muddy bottom. He fished it out, and solemnly presented its soaking, lifeless corpse to me. “I’m sorry,” he said.
No matter how faint the prospect of revival, every wet phone elicits the same folksy remedy: put in rice, my friends said. Put it in rice, my parents said, and leave it there for at least a day. Jasmine, long grain, risotto, dark wild, or basmati, put it in rice. So I did: I found an abandoned box of Uncle Ben’s, buried my phone under the grains, put it back in the pantry, and waited for the rice to work its magic.
In an era of Genius Bars, man-on-robot assault, and do-it-yourself handgun drones, the so-called rice trick feels like a kernel of ancient wisdom, passed down from one generation to the next. You can almost imagine our ancestors dunking their precious, soggy goods into burlap sacks of rice long ago. But where did the rice trick come from — and does it really work?
In July 2007, less than a month after the first iPhone was released, a MacRumors forum member by the name of jorsuss launched a thread called “I dropped my iPhone in water” with a familiar tale: “I was checking the phone if I got any calls or messages and I dropped it in the sink.” Jorsuss covered the phone with rice in what may have been the first documented attempt to use the rice trick on an iPhone. It didn’t work, but it is proof that the method existed before the iPhone, even if the details of the technique were fuzzy — “Is the rice supposed to be cooked or uncooked when using it to dry out a water-soaked cell phone?” asked one user on Yahoo Answers at the time.
One month earlier, in June 2007, a Washington Post reporter dropped his BlackBerry into a toilet while prepping for a date. When he saved his phone (and his date) using the rice trick, it merited a personal account in the paper along with a write-up on LifeHacker: “Dry out your soaked gadgets in rice.” But the phone-saving tip predates the smartphone —back in 2000 at least one user used it to help him revive a Nokia 5130.

Once that route was denied to them the immigrants went into Croatia, and sought to enter Hungary from there. In response, Mr Orban is now erecting a razor-wire barrier between his country and Croatia.
Other European nations, led by the Germans, are outraged at him. He has not lessened their opprobrium by unsubtly justifying his actions on the grounds that he wishes to keep Hungary as a “Christian” country. Those around Europe who grandstand by savaging Mr Orban – and we all know there is no faster way to seek to gain respectability and brownie points than by being seen to attack someone else’s perceived racism – conveniently ignore the unfortunate fact that most of his fellow countrymen agree with him.

A 19-year-old woman in Africa from a place called Nakuru, Kenya who attends Kabarak University and admitted to infecting 324 men with HIV/AIDS virus on purpose.
The woman claims she is not done and her goal is to spread the disease to at least 2,000 men in retaliation for her being infected by the disease at a party.
The girl reached out to the Kenyan Daily Post and after being assured that her identity would remain a secret and shared the story about what lead up to her targeting men to sleep with and share the deadly HIV/AIDS virus.

She said it all started Sep 22nd 2013 when she went into the city to visit a club. She got really drunk with two students and then attended the after party.
When she woke up in the morning she found out that a boy named Javon had sex with her when she was drunk the night before.

Qatari sheikh leaves US after racing Ferrari through LA
A Qatari sheikh has abruptly left the US after his yellow Ferrari was caught on camera racing through Beverly Hills.
Police were considering charging Sheikh Khalid Hamad Al-Thani with reckless driving and other offences before he – and his cars – disappeared.
The Thani family rule Qatar, but it is unclear whether Sheikh Al-Thani is part of the Arab state’s royal family.
A video shows his yellow Ferrari racing a white Porsche down residential streets, passing a stop sign.
The video ends with the Ferrari’s engine smoking as the sports car pulls into a driveway in the affluent section of Los Angeles.
Sheikh Al-Thani has been dubbed the “patron sheikh” of drag racing, according to the Los Angeles Times.
He has given millions to Al-Anabi Racing, and has been photographed driving on racetracks a number of times.
Police said the cars in the video were driving recklessly.
However, officers who arrived to find the cars in the drive were unable to make an arrest or issue a citation as they hadn’t witnessed the incident.
Investigators have connected Al-Thani to the car, but they are yet to confirm whether he was driving either vehicle as the drivers’ faces weren’t clear in footage or pictures.
The footage drew further attention after police said someone involved claimed diplomatic immunity.
Lieutenant Lincoln Hoshino, a spokesman for the Beverly Hills police, said the car was not registered with the State Department to be brought into the US.
Mr Hoshino also stated that it was unlikely the man had diplomatic immunity.
“It’s against a federal law for someone to claim diplomatic immunity when they don’t have it, so we’re looking at that and then we’re also looking at the reckless driving,” Beverly Hills Police Chief Dominick Rivetti told reporters.
Beverly Hills authorities said that they may look to prosecute those involved, and that the Qatari consulate has been contacted.
The video has since gone viral and has now been viewed over 1.2 million times.

CNN is reporting that Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old boy who was arrested for bringing a homemade clock to school, has switched schools. He is leaving MacArthur High School and he and his parents are choosing another school where, we assume, he won’t be arrested for curiosity.
Ahmed gained Internet fame two days ago when school officials called the police when he brought a homemade clock to school. Officials thought the clock, encased in as handsome metal case, looked like a bomb. Ahmed said he was interrogated at school by police.
”They told me ‘No, you can’t call your parents,’” Ahmed said. “‘You’re in the middle of an interrogation at the moment.’ They asked me a couple of times, ‘Is it a bomb?’ and I answered a couple of times, ‘It’s a clock.’”
“I felt like I was a criminal,” the teenager said. “I felt like I was a terrorist. I felt like all the names I was called.”
Ahmed said he was scared at first but now he is happy. In fact, President Obama invited him to the White House and multiple colleges and Valley notables – including Mark Zuckerberg – have offered their support. It’s unclear what he’s building next but I can’t imagine he’ll have trouble finding cool parts.

Andre Berto got some new ammunition for smack talking Floyd Mayweather Jr., and he’s already unloading on him — blaming the champ for their fight’s historically low pay-per-view numbers.
Somewhere between 400,000 and 550,000 people bucked up for the fight … the lowest PPV stats for a Floyd fight in a decade. Berto tells TMZ Sports, “It’s definitely Floyd’s fault, He left a sour taste in everybody’s mouth because of the Pacquiao bomb shell.”
Berto thinks Floyd underestimates how much fans hate his style of boxing, and that’s why they vowed to stop buying his fights — “As you can see they weren’t bulls**ttin.”
Ultimately the low PPV numbers hurt Floyd more than Berto, since Floyd gets a cut of that. Berto got a flat $4 million purse, but says he still tried to put on a good show … unlike Floyd.
“I knew if he had the chance he would run around and make it boring, but I tried my best to not let that happen and disappoint the people. They deserve excitement.”
